Eliza process

of course, I forgot to take a photo of the linework. OH WELL. Eliza is a character of Bittermause who does this great webcomic: The Shufflers.

Nautilus print process

Step by step of my new print :) Soon will be added to the shop.

decomposition

Did two colour versions of this picture - I couldn't decide which colour scheme would be better so just did both :P This is some bumbling around a comic project which I am half-working on ;)

Hourly Comic Day 2015

Had a great day like. :P

Go here to see what other Edinburgh League of Comics guys did!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all got to party wild like rice ;)

Solo Exhibition at Hula!

So at the moment I have a solo exhibition at Hula Juice bar & gallery! It's running through till 6th of January. Here are some snaps from the set up and opening night!

The vinyl with my name on it... Feels so good ;)

Calm before the storm! After people started coming I had no time to take any pics...

And this is one of my Christmas Cats on the window :)

And, last but not least - this is a special print that I did for the occasion! Hula cat and dog :)

Budapest

This year I went on a wee holiday travelling along Danube. As per usual instead of bothering with photos I did drawing instead. This is the selection from the first part :)

11. Strzyga - the slavic vampire

This is the creature I was fearing when I was a child. My grandmother used to tell me about these monsters. They were normal humans, but born with 2 rows of teeth. When they died they had to be buried face down, because otherwise they would chew their way out of the grave... And become undead monsters! When you are aged 5 and someone as reputable as your gran tells you this - of course you belive. There were other monsters she told me about too but this one was the most memorable one.

Although there are versions that they had two hearts and the second one would start beating when the person died. This is one I decided to draw :)

Comics Nonsense

So I have been attendingthis little short comics class. It was great fun and on the last one we were meant to do a shortened version of the 24 hour day comic (24 pages over 24 hours). Classes were 2h long so we did a 2 page. It took much longer than two hours ;) for me it was more like 2h + 1h + 2h. Well, we can't have everything, can we? Anyway, here it is. :)

Kitchen Animals

So for a short while my weekly creatures are going on hold... This is because I am just too busy with real stuff to do this kind of organized fun stuff. But dn't worry, as soon as things calm down I will be back at it :)

I have now been working on a number of new products and these are going to be tea towels (or kitchen towels, whatever you prefer to call them). They are all ordered up and I can't wait to get my hands on them! So for now here are some process pictures. These are the finished pieces:

I recently started to do my sketches on the computer:

I am quite a control freak and this gives me a lot MORE control (and takes leff time) than doing sketches on paper (although roughs and ideas I still do in my sketchbook).

So then I transfer some of the lines with a lightbox onto NICE paper. And then use the printed off sketch side by side with my drawing just for reference. Like this:

And here is the dog in the making :)

And this is my fave pen that sometimes makes a mess of your hand.

10 Griffin

This creature kind of makes me want to play Heroes of Might and Magic 3 ;)

It's in the coat of arms of the region of Poland I am from, and now that I looked it up I feel like my attempt at a griffin does not do it justice...

Haha I might actually re-do it at some point...

9/52 KRAKEN!

Kraken is one of my fave creatures ever. I have a soft spot for cephalopods, and the fantastically gigantic one is just so fab! :) One can argue they really exist - well, they do, but I don't think one large enough to drown a ship was ever spotted.
