I had this idea for a few days and finally got round to do it. You could say it's a bit last minute but only if you are in thhe UK really... As it appears mother's day is celebrated in every country pretty much on a different date. This is a photo so sorry about the quality :-[

Did two colour versions of this picture - I couldn't decide which colour scheme would be better so just did both :P This is some bumbling around a comic project which I am half-working on ;)

Home. 2

This is part of a panorama of what currently is my home. The city is placed on seven hills, here you can see two of them. When I was first picking as to where to go for my gap year it was between here and Glasgow, and for a completely unreasonable reason (which has the access to the sea) I picked this place. It has been a while since I moved here, I got completely sucked in and I think it would be hard to leave now (although not impossible :)).

Home. 1

Unlike my mom I have never really moved when I was growing up. I spend almost 20 years in the same city, in the same home. And then I finally moved! It was probably my first big, independent decision. One thing I never want to change is closeness to the sea. I might not live super close to it now, but it is there when I need it.

And the above is my favorite panorama of my first home :)

It's this time of the year when I miss it more.

North Lodge

This is a commissioned piece I did back in July. The original is A3 and it was a "portrait" of a house. Drawn from a selection of photos :) It was great fun to do it. I also have a lot of in progress pictures which I am trying to assemble into an animated GIF :P

Masquerade!

A friend of mine is currently doing a project for Culture Shock! Warszawa na Opak (Warsaw Reversed) is about masquerades and carnival in the capital of Poland. I really like the idea and got this image stuck in my head since I learned about the project. And I couldn't get it out. Especially the thin flute playing guy and the guest appearance of Cat Behemoth. I read Master and Margerita so long ago I can't even remember when it was. I loved it so and the supporting characters were my favouries (that is, Koroviov and mentioned above Behemoth). Some may fidn the lady on the right vaguely familiar too...

What surprised me most with this project was how much I enjoyed drawing the buildings (this is part of the Old Town in Warsaw). I havent done any for quite a while and it was really fun. And I was so impressed with the results.

Christmas presents in use!

One of the Christmas persents that I got this year was a set of 8 (!!!!!!) coloured inks. I used to use them a lot back in the day, but I normally stuck to black. But since I got this beautiful set I felt like trying it out.... Here's some action photos! I love the little bottles they come in. Normally I use rapidographs since they are easy and practically mess free, and easy on the go, whereas this nib business can be messy and definitely is not suitable for your travelling needs! A lot of times I had accidents and with non-water soluble inks that  use (always the best! ;)) it causes stains that are there to stay.

And the final one is a picture of something that later turned into... THIS!

Final Jumper Joy of 2012

This is officially the last cat in a jumper I am drawing this year. Or well, I drew. I am pretty tempted with coouring this fella, but so far - this is it! :)

PuddyFAT

 

Hello! My name is Ollie. My family calls me puddyfat, and always stresses the "FAT". I really don't understand why. My favourite activities are having dinner, having breakfast, having lunch, I also like to go in the garden sometimes and get a small between-meal snack. I managed to hunt some cocktail sausages too once, but instead of praise I got a telling off! I don't think my family understands me...

Similarly to Mr and Mrs Cat, Ollie agreed to participate in a line of canvas bags. These are ones that feature her little (round) face!

Fox in Fog

This is a part two to the Michelle and Ghost picture. I am not sure if I am too happy with the fox, but I thin this is the first fox I drew in ages. So I just need more practice practice practice!

I just realised that the first picture I did in June. Time passes waaaaaaaay too fast!

Mrs Cat also works hard

 

Well guess what... Mr Cat does indeed have a girlfriend! (Or is it wife? Maybe you should ask him?) She works as a typist and has a taste for handknitted jumpers and cardigans. She also decided to feature in a line of bags, not for the money, mainly for the fame. :)

Water

lighthouses.

I absolutely love lighthouses. I love the sea, so I guess this is a natural extension of this affection. It is also partially because of my love for one particular Moomins book where they move to a lighthouse. Quite some time ago I did a series of drawings of polish lighthouses. This was the first one and the only one that I actually went on to the top of. One of my ideal places to live would be on an island with a lighthouse.

I just keep on dreaming.
